PROCEDURE:
- Before every assembly, take out the tank: disconnect 2 tubes from the tank an undo the velcro which attaches the tank.
- Check whether the engine is not hot. We recommend performing the assembly minimum of 0.5 hours after the engine is switched off.
- Check whether the ignition is not switched on (the LED must not be lit or flashing)!
1) Remove 2 cable ties under the knot using pincers and undo the CLOVE hitch.
2) Pull out the throttle cable cord from the silicon hoses.
3) Unscrew 4 screws on the snorkel fitting ring using an Allen Key No. 2.5. mm.
4) Disconnect the cable going to the ignition.
5) Undo the velcro on the ICU ignition. Move the ignition towards the engine.
Thus you will free the opening through which the Bowden cable on the control handle passes.
6) Remove the carbon cover of the gears by unscrewing two screws.
7) Remove the throttle ball joint rod from the throttle control joint. In the JetSurf ULTRASPORT model,
the throttle cable holder is on the other side of the engine (on the engine side without the gears).
8) Using an Allen key No.4 loosen the screw on the throttle cable holder and remove the cable out of it.
In the JetSurf ULTRASPORT mode, the throttle cable holder is on the other side of the engine (on the engine side without gears).
9) Tie a strong string of minimum 50 cm to the throttle ball joint rod of the pulled out throttle cable (you will use this string to insert a new control handle into the board).
Hold the loose end of the string with one hand and witch the other hand pull the control handle out of the board.
10) When the whole part has been removed, untie the string from the rod. Place a snorkel fitting ring and snorkel on the new part.
MAKE SURE that the string coming out of the snorkel is oriented toward the tip of the board.
11) Tie the untied string to the ball joint rod. Get hold of the end of the string which stayed in the engine compartment.
12) Place the cable into the throttle cable holder and pull it under the gears. Place the rod on the throttle ball joint.
Make the throttle cable tight.
13)** CHECK THE CORRECT FUNCTION OF THE THROTTLE CABLE:**
Step 1: In the throttle trigger of the control handle is in the extreme position (full throttle), the throttle
valve control must be in position A.
Step 2: Inf the throttle trigger is in the other extreme position (loose), the throttle valve control must be in the opposite position.
14) Then tighten the screw on the throttle cord holder.
15) Continue with items 6 to 1.
